You will be able to hike, swim, scuba-dive, and generally enjoy your surroundings: the island’s scenery is truly impressive. A 7-minute walk will take you to the Cigrada bay for swimming, and the nearest supermarket in less than 10 minutes away. It is well worth visiting the Krka-Waterfalls a 50-minute drive away and you can get to the Kornati National Park by boat. You could also get to know the Coatia’s coast by diving: the Aquanaut Diving Center is only a few minutes from the apartment at 1, Jurja Dalmatinca Street.
The central Adriatic Sea in Dalmatia is unique in the world with its many islands - overall 1244 of varying sizes. Murter Island can be reached by a flap bridge which is lifted twice a day to let bigger boats enter the harbour and the eponymous village, located in the island’s north-west, stretches over the bays of Hramina and Slanica. Apart from its scenic beauty, Croatia’s Adriatic coast also offers historical attractions: worth visiting are the fortresses of the former royal town of Sibenik (about 35 km from Murter) and the remains of the ancient town of Colentum.
