Area description

Guipry, set in the Ille-et-Vilaine department, is known for its tranquil countryside and proximity to ancient forests. Many historic dolmen, or funeral monuments, can be found in the area, and the town is only 90km from Damgan beach on the famed Emerald Coast.

The Forest of Broceliande near Pimpont (32km) is the last remnant of the ancient forests that once covered the land. The forest is said to have been the home of King Arthur and Merlin. The town of Rennes (34km) boasts the delightful St George Palace and Gardens and the Place de la Republique.

Golfers will want to shoot a round at Golf de Cisse, only 35km away, and you will not want to leave without savouring the region's famous crepes, galettes, and Breton biscuits. Try them with jam, honey, or simply salted butter. The Crêperie Guipry is only 6km from the house.
