Full property description
A relaxing holiday awaits you in this secluded two-bedroom apartment, just outside the French village of Hochfelden in the verdant region of Alsace.
The apartment is fully private on the first floor of the house; visitors have their own entrance separate from the owner. A washing machine is available for your use, as well as an ironing table/iron, and WiFi Internet is provided at no additional charge.
Set in the 40sqm living area, the open kitchen comes fully equipped with every appliance needed to make your stay comfortable, such as a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, oven and toaster. Prepare your favourite meals and enjoy them inside or on the covered terrace, directly accessed through the living room, and enjoying views of rolling hillside and flower gardens as far as the eye can see. A barbeque is also available for your use.
Each of the two charmingly decorated bedrooms holds twin beds, while a baby cot is also available upon request. The bathroom features a roomy shower stall with removable shower head and a WC.
Well-lit and spacious, the living room houses plenty of comfortable furniture for relaxing, in addition to a satellite TV and a variety of games for the whole family.
House linen is included at no extra charge but please bring your own towels.
Private parking is available. Smoking is allowed, but outside only, and pets are not welcome.
The village of Hochfelden maintains its provincial charm through its unique hillside architecture and old canal towpath, now turned into a well-known bicycling route. The countryside surrounding the village is quite beautiful due to its elevation and unique topography, and you could spend days exploring the natural activities such as hiking, mountain biking, horse riding, and fishing, just to name a few. Be sure to explore Hochfelden town itself, to sample the local brew (the closest bar and restaurant are both within 1km of your door), because the town is home to the leading independent brewery in Alsace, the Brassiere Meteor.
Nearby Saverne, at 16km, has a spectacular botanical garden featuring beautiful orchids, and you will find many other attractions in the town making it worth a day trip there.
A scenic golf course awaits at the Golf Club de la Wantzenau, some 28km away; and a countless list of small towns beckon all around the countryside, each with its own unique charm and allure.
