Area description

Ersa is a village on the northern end of Corsica, near the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. The island is known for its great weather, 1,000km of coastline and hundreds of pristine beaches. The house is only 5km from Barcaggio beach and its wide array of water sports, and don’t miss your chance to hike the island’s famous trails, featuring dramatic mountain vistas and stunning coastal scenery.

Golfers will want to play the island's northern courses, Le Borgo Golf Club and Golf du Reginu, both with unbelievable sea and mountain views. Historic monuments are aplenty, with many dating to prehistoric times and others from the Greek, Roman, and Genoese periods.

Another must-do is sampling Corsica’s famous gastronomic delights: Corsica is known for its fragrant and robust honey, derived from a variety of different flora, plus delectable salted pork, sausage, and ham. The goat- and sheep’s cheese is said to be out of this world and you’ll have everything close at hand, with restaurants and bars only 500m from the house.
