Full property description
In the commune of Lachapelle-Auzac, this lodge is one of 70 in the beautiful Souillac Golf and Country Club. Shoot a round of golf, swim in the pool, relax on the terrace or explore the surrounding oak forest and the lush Midi-Pyrenees region – whatever you desire, you’ll find it during your stay at this spectacular property!
The lodge boasts two storeys of cosy yet elegant furnishings. On the ground floor, a beamed ceiling, indoor fireplace and flat-screen TV, form perfect place to spend a relaxing evening. Enjoy additional comforts such as central heat and a washing machine, and you can cook up a French feast in the spacious and fully-equipped kitchen, fitted with everything from a stove to a coffee machine and toaster. Then, take in a view of the lake and garden as you settle back on the terrace for an aperitif.
Upstairs, the two beautiful bedrooms comfortably sleep four; one with a double bed and the other hosting two singles. There are two bathrooms, one with a WC and shower and the other with a tub, shower and WC.
Wake up and indulge in a morning dip in the large pool: Surrounded by greenery and deckchairs, it’s heated, protected by an alarm and barriers for total safety and shared with 14 lodges that form the local ‘village’.
Breakfast foods can be made available in the lodge prior to arrival for a small fee, while cleaning, linen and towels are included in the rental price. There is Wifi in the Clubhouse, which is only a 5 minute walk from the lodge.
There is public parking on site, smoking is permitted outside only, and pets are not welcome.
The damage deposit must be sent in cheque before the arrival.
A stay in the commune of Lachapelle-Auzac puts you in the ideal spot to explore the Lot, an area known for its rivers and dramatic gorges, picturesque villages, historic towns and world-class vineyards.
Golfers will enjoy the spectacular greens of the Souillac Golf and Country Club, and wine lovers will appreciate that in less than an hour you can be in the heart of the famed Cahors vineyards, whose history goes back to Ancient Rome.
The nearby village of Rocamadour is the second most visited site in France. Said to be the resting place of the Biblical Zaccheus, known as Saint Amator, it’s been a pilgrimage location since medieval times. Martel, 11km from the lodge, has seven large towers and is filled with history, and a short distance away you’ll find the most visited cave system in France, the Gouffre de Padirac.
Other than wine, the region's gastronomic highlights include truffles, duck and goose - treat yourself to foie gras, breast of duck, a truffle soufflé, or perhaps a crème brulee and walnut cake. Whatever your taste, you won't leave hungry!
