Located 2 km from the centre of the medieval village of Bruniquel, with the spectacular natural scenery of the Midi-Pyrenées all around, this gorgeous house is nestled in two acres of privately-owned land and combines its rustic façade with bright and spacious rooms decorated in a typical country style.
There are two beautiful bedrooms; the Master sporting a king-size bed and ensuite with a large walk-in shower, hand basin, toilet and fitted shelves and the other with twin beds, while there is also a comfy sofa bed and a shared bathroom with a large walk-in shower and WC.
Amenities on hand to make your stay as comfortable as possible, no matter the season, include a large stone fireplace, fans and a washing machine, while the lovely lounge room boasts entertainment including a TV with a DVD-player, a HiFi system and games – something to keep everyone amused!
Cook up a storm in the stylish kitchen, fitted with everything needed to whip up hearty meals in between exploring, including a stove, microwave oven, coffee machine and dishwasher.
Keen to dine al fresco? Take your pick between three terraces and a 56 sqm, shared barbecue area, with the outside areas boasting views across the garden and swimming pool (measuring 13 x 5 metres and protected by barriers and an alarm).

You’ll be a five-minute drive from the villages of Montricoux and Bruniquel, offering bars, boulangeries, a supermarket and a post office. Montricoux sports a plethora of local amenities and interesting walks, while Bruniquel is part of The Most Beautiful Villages of France association, and the town upholds its title with a picturesque mixture of old pink stone houses, timbered turrets, medieval gateways and colourful gardens. The town centre is 2 km from the house and is perfect for a peaceful stroll, and don’t miss a visit to the magnificent Château de Bruniquel: Overlooking the valley of the Aveyron, it’s believed to have been founded in the 6th century and boasts Renaissance and Baroque-style additions.
Nearby Antonin, a 25-minute drive from the house, is famous for its wonderful market and is a fantastic starting point from which to canoe down the Aveyron Gorges. Other activities on offer near the house include hunting, hiking, horse riding and mountain biking, and there are also vineyards and interesting museums to visit nearby. Don't miss Bruniquel’s Maison Payrol, a 17th century building formerly serving as the town’s Government House and now boasting historic objects and curiosities plus the region’s only toy museum, its more than 250 pieces including toy trains, cars, planes and miniature buildings.
You’ll find the nearest restaurant, bar and supermarket 1 km from the house and for excursions further afield, don’t miss highlights of the Midi-Pyrenées region including the city of Toulouse, with its picturesque historic centre, the imposing Château de Najac in Aveyron and the magnificent landscapes of the Dordogne Valley.
