Set in the countryside near picturesque Les Eyzies-de-Tayac, this idyllic house is close to some of Aquitaine’s most famous sights, including the prehistoric cave paintings of Lascaux, and surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside in all of France. You’ll be well placed to explore the medieval town of Sarlat as well as the Dordogne and Vezère valleys, and activities on offer nearby include tastings at the vineyards of Bergerac, shopping up a storm at colourful street markets, canoeing, fishing, horse riding, tennis, hot-air balloon rides and golf.
The house boasts central heating for year-round comfort, and the cosy living room has a sofa, TV and a fireplace. Cook up a storm in the spacious and open kitchen, equipped with a fridge, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine and more, and enjoy your feast around the dining table for 6 or in the furnished garden. A BBQ is also available for convivial al fresco cook-ups under the setting sun.
There are 2 tastefully-furnished bedrooms, both on the first floor, one with a double bed and the other with 2 singles. A baby cot is also provided and the bathroom sports a bathtub/ shower combination, while the WC is separate.
Linen and towels are all included in the rental price.

The peaceful countryside setting combined with its proximity to the village of Les Eyzies-de-Tayac and a plethora of famous touristic sights make this house the perfect base for exploring the Dordogne department and its surrounding region. Inhabited since the Palaeolithic era, Les Eyzies-de-Tayac boasts a large number of UNESCO World Heritage listed prehistoric sights. The National Prehistoric Museum in the centre of the village is a must-see, and for those wanting to venture further afield, the world-famous Lascaux caves are only 15km from the house.
Nearby you’ll also find the medieval town of Sarlat, which boasts Europe’s highest number of classified historical buildings per square metre. The town also hosts a wonderful Saturday market and a romantic old town. For amazing fishing, kayaking and canoeing, head to the Dordogne and Vezere rivers, or try some of the region’s famous gastronomy: The vineyards of Bergerac are a must-visit, and the closest restaurant, bar and supermarket are all within 5km of the house, in Les Eyzies.
Golfers will want to tee off at Lolivarie, 30km from the house, and other activities include zip lining, cycling, hiking and discovering the region’s magnificent châteaux.
