Welcome to this bright and inviting rural apartment, set in a house on a quiet country lane near Arriate, in the province of Malaga. Enjoying stunning mountain views, the apartment is perfectly situated whether you want to relax in peaceful surroundings or enjoy a plethora of activities in stunning nature, and is suitable for singles, couples, the young and the elderly alike. Whether your holiday dream is packed with adventure, histoy, relaxing, romance or sports and activities, you've come to the right place - and you’ll be only a 5-minute drive from Ronda, one of the most beautiful towns in Spain.
The apartment has a separate entrance, which leads to the sitting room with comfortable seating and dedicated dining- and kitchen areas. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed to create exciting dishes, including a stove, microwave, coffee machine and toaster. Don't forget to make use of the ceramic hob and Ninja cooking system, which allows you to roast, steam roast, bake and slow-cook - perfect for experimenting with fresh, local ingredients!
Get a great night’s sleep in the cosy bedroom, boasting a large wardrobe and comfortable Superking size bed that can be separated as 2 singles (please give notice in advance if you would like the bed to be separated). The immaculate bathroom has a walk-in shower, washbasin and WC.
Books, CD- and DVD-players, games, playing cards and a flat-screen TV with satellite are available in the living room, but it is the outdoors where you will be spending most of your time. The owners, Sarah and Jim, have dedicated a part of their beautiful garden, with its variety of brightly coloured shrubs, especially for the private use of their guests. The garden offers spectacular mountain views and when the mountains disappear into the dusk, discreet garden lighting creates a new, but equally harmonious, vista.
The swimming pool measures 5.5 x 12.5 metres and is available to guests during 2.5 hours in the morning and one hour in the afternoon. The pool and surrounding garden with an outside seating area, plus an inside seating area with a large dining table, 6 chairs and an overhead fan are also available to you exclusively at those times. Furthermore, guests will have their own private garden including 2 sun loungers, a table with 4 chairs, a parasol, garden, double pergolas and a barbecue.
The owners, while careful not to intrude in any way, are very happy to help and can advise you on the best places to visit that are off the normal tourist track.
Please note that the three pets living on site are very well behaved but it is very important that only people who respect animals stay here. The apartment is not suited to children under the age of 14.
Weekly cleaning, linen, bath towels, beach towels and WiFi Internet are all included in the rental price.
A car is essential and there is private parking on site (a lock-up garage for motorbikes and bicycles is also available). Smoking is not permitted and owing to the presence of residential animals (1 dog and 2 cats), regretfully pets are not allowed.
Sarah and Jim are flexible about the check in and check out times. However, it is important to discuss times with them.
Set in a walker's and bird watcher's paradise, the apartment is within easy reach of cities such as Seville, Cordoba, Granada and Malaga. Marbella beaches and golf are less than an hour’s drive away and activities on offer nearby include cycling, padel (a Spanish racket sport), mountaineering, tennis and rock climbing. The beach of San Pedro de Alcantara, 47km from the property, offers a beautiful beachfront promenade flanked by palm trees and excellent chiringuitos (beachside restaurants) serving up seafood specialties.
Nearby you’ll also find The World’s Most Dangerous Walkway, recently renovated and now safe (but you still need a head for heights!). Other activities on offer near the apartment incluce scenic hikes and drives, eco tourism, winery tours, great shopping, wildlife viewing and sightseeing (there are some spectacular archaeological and geological sights in the area). Nearby attractions include cinemas, churches, duty-free shops, museums and live theatre.
The nearest bar and restaurant are 1,5km from the apartment and locally you’ll find all amenities needed, including ATMs/banks, a hospital, grocery stores and a launderette.
